I know I am not spelling this right, but the only spelling I can think of is "cause celebre" referring to a cause that is championed just to be championed like a fad without anyone actually caring about the cause

literary agent

A literature professor on campus read one of my novellas, and she suggested I go ahead and find a literary agent. I had thought agents only handled books, so I wanted to finish my anthology first. However, if an agent can help each novella be published individually, then that would be awesome. Does anyone here know if agents can handle novellas?

It almost killed me...

But I finished NaNo yesterday.

Who else "won" this year?

NaNoWriMo has begun!

How are you doing?

1483 for me.

So, who's going to do NaNoWriMo?

Mine is a prequel to last year's NaNo book.

cozy catastrophe

What is a cozy catastrophe? It is a subgenre of the post-apocalyptic fiction genre, but I am not sure what makes it cozy. Wikipedia did not explain it very well.

Query Shark

This blog, run by an agent, is a great way to learn about what works and doesn't work in a query. Also, if you're anything like me, it'll make you laugh out loud.
